Oral Testosterone (Kyzatrex®)

FDA-Approved Oral Testosterone Therapy

Prescription-only softgel formulated for men who may require testosterone replacement under licensed clinician supervision.

Skip injections with an FDA-approved oral testosterone option designed for clinically appropriate testosterone replacement therapy, determined through a comprehensive telehealth evaluation.

Clinical Context

Testosterone replacement therapy is prescribed only when clinically appropriate, based on medical history, reported symptoms, and laboratory evaluation.
Under clinician guidance, testosterone therapy has been studied for its role in supporting:

  • Energy and daytime vitality

  • Mood stability and mental focus

  • Lean mass maintenance

  • Bone health

  • Sexual health function in men with diagnosed testosterone deficiency

Common Symptoms Reviewed During Evaluation

Licensed clinicians may evaluate symptoms such as:

  • Persistent fatigue or low energy

  • Reduced libido

  • Changes in strength or body composition

  • Slower recovery

  • Mood changes or irritability

  • Difficulty with focus or mental clarity

How Kyzatrex® Works

Powered by Kyzatrex®, this modern oral testosterone formulation uses a proprietary Self-Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SEDDS).
Unlike earlier oral testosterone formulations, this lipid-based delivery system is designed to be absorbed via the intestinal lymphatic pathway, a route involved in normal fat and nutrient absorption.

This formulation approach has been studied in clinical settings and differs from older oral testosterone products in how testosterone enters systemic circulation.

How Clinically Supervised Testosterone Optimization Restores Male Physiology

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is a medically prescribed treatment designed to restore testosterone levels to an optimal physiological range. By directly addressing the hormonal root cause of fatigue, low libido, muscle loss, and cognitive decline, TRT helps normalize energy production, muscle protein synthesis, mood regulation, and metabolic function.

Unlike supplements or lifestyle-only approaches that attempt to stimulate hormone production indirectly, clinically supervised TRT delivers precision-dosed testosterone under physician monitoring, ensuring consistent, effective restoration without hormonal instability. This targeted medical approach supports sustainable strength, mental clarity, sexual health, and long-term vitality—without the crashes or guesswork of non-clinical solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike older forms (like Methyltestosterone) which were liver-toxic, Kyzatrex® is absorbed through the lymphatic system rather than the portal vein. This bypasses the liver significantly, maintaining a safety profile comparable to transdermal gels regarding liver enzymes.

Clinical data shows it is highly effective. In pivotal trials, the vast majority of participants achieved effective therapeutic levels. While injections are the historical “gold standard” for absorption, this oral protocol is the leading non-invasive alternative.

It can. Clinical studies showed a small increase in blood pressure in some men. We require all patients on the Oral Protocol to monitor their BP at home. (See Boxed Warning below).

This specific webpage is for Oral Testosterone monotherapy. However, hCG (injectable) can often be prescribed alongside this protocol if maintaining testicular volume and fertility is a priority for you. Ask your provider during your consult.

Clinical Basis for Therapy:

1. TRT’s Impact on Body Composition- A study demonstrated that a 10-week regimen of Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), when paired with a disciplined diet and exercise plan, led to substantial gains in fat-free mass and muscle size. Utilizing advanced measurement techniques, such as underwater weighing and magnetic resonance imaging, the findings confirmed significant improvements in overall body weight and the muscle size of major muscle groups.

2. TRT Improves Sexual Function and Satisfaction- High-quality evidence demonstrates that Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is linked to significant improvements in sexual health for men with low testosterone (hypogonadism) when compared to a placebo. These benefits include a substantial enhancement in:
Sexual desire (libido)
Erectile function (EF)
Sexual activity
Sexual satisfaction

3.TRT and Cognitive Function- Promising research links testosterone supplementation to improved cognitive function in men, including those with normal testosterone (eugonadal) and those with low levels (hypogonadal), regardless of their starting cognitive status. Low natural testosterone levels may be associated with reduced cognitive ability, and supplementing with testosterone may lead to improvements in certain cognitive skills. A study spanning two years on young and middle-aged hypogonadal men demonstrated that Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) enhanced:
Attention
Visual scanning ability
Executive function
Psychomotor speed

4. TRT and Mood Enhancement- Testosterone replacement therapy in men with low testosterone (hypogonadism) improved their mood by:
Improving positive mood parameters such as energy, well-being, and friendliness.
Decreasing negative mood parameters including anger, nervousness, and irritability.

5. Advanced Oral Testosterone Formulation- Our FDA-approved oral testosterone is engineered for highly efficient and specific lymphatic absorption. This innovative design allows the medication to bypass the liver, thereby avoiding the liver toxicity traditionally associated with older oral testosterone medications. Furthermore, clinical monitoring of liver markers in patients using this formulation has consistently shown no acute adverse effects on liver function.

Efficacy: Kyzatrex® Clinical Trials (NCT03198728). Results showed 96% of compliant patients achieved mean plasma testosterone concentration within the normal range (222–800 ng/dL) after 90 days of treatment.
